We are looking for a Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our remote team. You need to be a strong problem solver who can act with very little oversight and deliver high quality solutions. We expect you to use AI tools as a core part of how you work every day to move faster, raise the quality of what you ship, and spend your time on the hard problems instead of the boilerplate. We work in a very challenging business domain, the US HealthCare space. An important part of the role will be learning this domain and then applying that knowledge to solve complex problems. The scope of this role is very broad and you will be expected to have an opinion on the approach to data architecture for the entire company.

Most importantly: We do not expect you to check every single box perfectly. If you have a solid engineering foundation, a passion for security, and a relentless willingness to learn and adapt, we want to hear from you.

The main responsibilities include (but are definitely not limited to):

  • Design, build and operationalize secure, cost-efficient and flexible data solutions using the GCP stack including: GCS, PubSub and BigQuery;
  • Design and build AI capabilities directly into our data products and pipelines: from models that surface savings opportunities to systems that flag anomalies in data;
  • Manage data governance and quality across the company;
  • Design and build production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption;
  • Responding to ad hoc data analysis requests from the business;
  • Keep our data safe and secure. We are very serious about our customers' personal medical information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Architecting scalable data solutions leveraging AI with complex data sets in the cloud
  • Proficient with cloud data warehousing (BigQuery, Redshift, snowflake etc), Object storage, a relevant data-centric programming language.
  • Know the difference between simple and easy
  • Excellent communication skills

Benefits:

  • 100% remote
  • Casual work environment
  • Flexible hours
  • Unlimited vacation
