Founding Software Engineer

About the Role

This is a founding engineering position at an early-stage enterprise AI startup building AI systems that help large organizations enforce supplier contracts and recover margin at scale. You will join a small founding team and have direct influence over product direction, technical architecture, and customer outcomes from day one.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship full-stack product features end-to-end as a core member of the founding engineering team.

• Solve hard data problems at scale, continuously verifying what enterprises have negotiated versus what they have actually paid across large volumes of messy, fragmented data.

• Make strategic product and technical decisions that shape the company's direction early on.

• Work directly with enterprise customers in industries such as CPG, retail, and healthcare to understand their problems and deliver solutions.

• Contribute to AI and LLM systems that drive meaningful cost savings for large organizations.

What We're Looking For

• 3 or more years of product engineering experience (full-stack, front-end, or back-end) shipping real products at a well-known tech company or a Series A/B or later VC-backed startup.

• Demonstrated experience building or delivering solutions in enterprise B2B or procurement domains, particularly working with large-scale data problems for large enterprises.

• Strong full-stack application development skills with shipped, end-to-end production products.

• Comfort working directly with enterprise customers on product requirements or support.

• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, and React.

• Strong CS fundamentals; a degree in computer science or equivalent is required for new graduates.

• Experience with modern LLM systems, evaluation frameworks, or related AI tooling is a plus.

• Prior founding engineer or founder experience at a VC-backed startup is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $200,000 to $225,000 USD annually. Equity is expected given the founding team nature of this role. Visa sponsorship is not available.
