Software Engineer (LATAM)

About the Role

This is a full-stack Software Engineer role at a Series A AI training data company, focused on building and scaling complex data capturing workflows across web and desktop platforms. You will be one of the first engineering hires in LATAM, working closely with the founding team to shape both the product and engineering culture.

What You'll Do

• Build and scale complex data capturing workflows across a web frontend (Next.js) and desktop tooling (Python).

• Architect and optimize high-throughput data pipelines designed to handle heavy, sustained loads.

• Collaborate directly with the founding team to define product strategy and ship features at pace.

• Set engineering best practices and lay foundational architecture to support future team growth.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers as the team expands.

What We're Looking For

• 3 or more years of professional experience building and scaling data workflows in production environments.

• Genuine full-stack or backend-leaning profile; not primarily frontend-focused.

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with Next.js and React for frontend development.

• Backend proficiency in Node.js and Python for full-stack web applications.

• Hands-on experience with serverless architecture on GCP or AWS.

• Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, and message queue systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

• Demonstrated ability to performance-profile and optimize data-intensive applications.

• Experience contributing to foundational architecture and engineering standards at a growing team.

• Ability to work remotely from LATAM and align with US working hours.

• Strong CS fundamentals; a degree in Computer Science or equivalent is a plus.

• Background at a high-caliber technology, finance, or research organization is a strong signal.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $60,000 to $90,000 USD annually. No visa sponsorship is available; candidates must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

Location

Fully remote, based in LATAM. Alignment with US working hours is required.
