Dark Wolf is looking for Google Customer Engineer to serve as a critical liaison for our Department of Defense (DOD) customer utilizing Google Platform. This role is central to ensuring the optimal adoption, efficient use, and continuous improvement of cloud services within a secure government environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Google Cloud with exceptional communication and customer engagement skills, dedicated to fostering a successful cloud transformation journey for our DOD partner. This position is primarily remote and will require support out of one of the following Dark Wolf Hubs - Herndon, VA; Tampa, FL; San Antonio, TX; Colorado Springs, CO; Ogden, UT; or Omaha, NE.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with customers to identify and define requirements, pain points, optimization opportunities, and security concerns and translate into actionable engineering tasks.
  • Generating, updating, actioning, and closing out assignment tickets in response to customer needs, evolving security concerns, optimization opportunities, and other stimuli.
  • Conducting customer engagement activities such as weekly office hours, system monitoring, customer requirement gathering, and basic engineering support necessary to ensure the proper use of Google Platform.
  • Working with users to ensure projects are optimized for usage in the platform to minimize cost on a project level-basis to ensure education around the cloud is supporting overall culture change.
  • Collecting and providing customer feedback to the government team to inform impacts of planning decisions.
  • Exploring opportunities for service automation - recognize and experiment with templatization for common service requests through customer consulting procedures .
  • Compiling feedback, suggestions, best practices, and lessons learned and assist in updating documentation and communication processes as necessary to continuously improve the Zero Trust architecture and cybersecurity accreditation processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud computing
  • 1+ years of experience with GCP
  • Strong facility with customer and user interaction, coaching, and requirements gathering
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices or DoD/DISA cybersecurity policies
  • Strong understanding of Google Cloud services and technologies
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions
  • Experience developing technical architecture documents, driving design decisions, developing documentation artifacts, and presenting technical solutions to clients and executive level leaders
  • Experience with infrastructure automation using IaC tools such as Terraform
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and experience implementing CI/CD in cloud environments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the broader team as well as independently
  • US Citizenship and active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one of the following certifications: Security+, Network+, A+, Cloud+, SSCP
  • At least one Google Cloud Professional Certification
  • Experience using Gitlab Service Desk and Gitlab issue tracking
  • Experience working within Agile teams
  • Experience working with Google Cloud compliance products such as Security Command Center and Assured Workloads
  • Experience working with customers in the U.S. Public Sector
  • Experience with DoD/DISA cybersecurity policies

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $145,000.00 - $175,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
