As an IP Lab Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in mirroring customer configurations and validating product features and functionality. Your work will involve setting up equipment, developing and executing test plans, and identifying and resolving issues through collaboration with R&D. Additionally, you will have the chance to present lab-based solutions to customers, showcasing the capabilities of our products. This position is based at our Cypress Waters lab in Coppell, Texas, and requires a self-motivated and independent engineer.
  • Set up equipment and mirror customer configurations in the Nokia lab.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate product performance.
  • Identify and open tickets for any issues or defects, working closely with R&D to resolve them.
  • Communicate progress and findings to stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely updates.
  • Present lab-based solutions to customers, demonstrating product capabilities and features.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth project execution and meet customer expectations.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance testing strategies.
  • Document test results and provide detailed reports for internal and external use.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for product improvements based on testing outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and maintain a safe lab environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a lab or testing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and IP technologies.
  • Experience with automation testing and test plan development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and customers.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment setup and maintenance.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Proficiency in using relevant testing tools and software.
