Software Engineer – Entry Level

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or Engineering, Science, or Math.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

The DevOps Integration Engineer - Submarine Combat Systems, will be responsible for integration of software components into the Linux-based Common Computing Environment (CCE) PaaS.  The candidate will also be responsible for improving the software build process along with setup and configuration of hardware/software test environments.Essential Capabilities (Required):

• Skilled in integrating containerized software applications in Kubernetes or another container runtime such as Docker Swarm.
• Skilled in development of bash and python scripts to automate installation, test, and monitoring of software components
• Advanced troubleshooting techniques for isolation of software problems

Desired Capabilities:

• Experience with Ansible infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Red Hat System Administrator/Engineer certification.

Workplace Options:This position is flex on-site. While on-site you will be part of the GDMS Ashton Avenue Manassas facility. 

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $77,843.00 - USD $86,358.00 /Yr.
