Job Description

This position will support Patient Access applications (Cadence, Prelude, and Grand Central)

This position is Hybrid (1 day per week on site)

The primary role of the Senior Application Analyst (Experienced analyst) is responsible for complex project work, cross-vertical expertise, and advanced mentoring.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Implement and maintain application systems and databases (maintenance and solutioning work).

  • Participate in all types of IT projects, including complex solutioning.

  • Generate project plans, validate timelines, and maintain documentation.

  • Optimize application systems and ensure overall health.

  • Educate and mentor teammates (Tier 1–2), assist team lead with agile projects.

  • Review escalated nova notes and advise on the next steps.

  • Run a minimum of two reliability projects and three enhancement initiatives per year.

  • Meet team SLA’s/KPI’s.

  • Lead meetings, resolve conflicts, and follow project plans.

  • Participate in continued education/self-improvement events yearly.

  • Track and report resource and capacity planning every quarter.

  • Create updated content to support services in service now.

  • Participate in release and change management for applications.

  • Build expertise in integrated application build.

  • Mentor application teams.

  • Adheres to on-call and downtime standards.

  • Provides feedback on employee evaluations, if requested.

  • Active on SMO or SMO subgroup.

  • Creates, assures accuracy of service catalog.

  • Serves as a release coordinator for application reliability work.

  • Agile skill set.

  • Implementation and use of all Ai tools that support role.

Education

Bachelor's degree in healthcare or IT, or 7-10 years of equivalent work experience required.

Experience

  • Experience in change management is required.

  • Experience in intra-system design is required.

  • Experience in an IT or healthcare role is required.   

Certification & Licensure

  • Requires 3-5 certifications in primary and/or other relevant applications required; badges or application equivalent training based on expertise needed to work across multiple verticals. In addition to Epic certifications, certifications in other specialty fields including licensure, badges, ITIL, TOGAF, PMP cert, etc.

  • ITIL Foundations certification required.

  • Certified Scrum Master required.

  • All education to include certifications should be current, and the latest version of training must be completed on time.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Competent in Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for health system EHR’s required.

  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

  • Ability to serve as team ARL or Security lead.

  • Ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists and follow a project plan required.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively for content build as delegated by project manager/director.
