As a Senior Platform Software Engineer, you will be part of a team focused on enhancing the Kubernetes experience on OCI. You will design, develop, and deliver innovative solutions that help customers deploy, manage, and scale applications using modern cloud-native technologies. Your work will directly contribute to strategic initiatives such as Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management, infrastructure automation, and open-source projects that simplify running workloads on OCI. You'll collaborate with talented engineers across OCI to build reliable, scalable, and secure distributed systems while contributing to the broader Kubernetes and CNCF ecosystem.

Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a record of delivering production-quality distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.

  • Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, Python, or similar.

  • Experience designing APIs, data models, and service architectures with attention to scalability, availability, security, and operability.

  • Solid understanding of cloud-native systems, including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering concepts.

  • Demonstrated ownership: you can drive work from problem definition through design, implementation, launch, and ongoing operation.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines.

Preferred qualifications: Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus.

  • Application deployment platforms, continuous delivery, GitOps, artifact management, or developer platform engineering.

  • Large-scale distributed systems, multi-tenant cloud services, control planes, or workflow orchestration.

  • Site reliability engineering, production incident response, observability, or capacity and performance engineering.

  • Security engineering, identity and access management, policy-as-code, supply-chain security, or compliance automation.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $92,500 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.


Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
