IT Project Manager (PM) III will lead application and system-level projects and process improvement initiatives to optimize practice management application efficiencies and processes, revenue cycle performance, financial outcomes, and operational efficiencies. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders across departments, operational, internal, and external IT teams, and vendors to deliver projects on scope, on time, and within budget.
The IT PM III will be responsible for assisting and successful outcomes of TUMG initiated Revenue Cycle (RCM) and Information Technology (IT) Department projects and activities relevant to the operations of TUMG revenue cycle and IT. The role will interact with Physicians, TUMG staff, Department Administrators, Clinic Managers, and outside resources.
The IT PM II is responsible for ensuring and adhering to the Change Management Process and leading projects assigned by the leadership. Such projects include implementation of new features, modules, enhancements to the billing system, and other related systems for revenue cycle.
The IT PM III has a solid understanding of project management methodology, including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations, and run team meetings. Additionally, the PM can manage multiple projects simultaneously, anticipate issues, identify future choke points, and work ahead of time to alleviate potential issues.

• Experience with physician-based Revenue Cycle management and professional billing.
• Experience with healthcare IT system implementations, upgrades, migrations, interfaces, or integrations.
• Experience with EMR/EHR, practice management, billing, Revenue Cycle, or data warehouse applications.
• Experience with IDX, Epic, eClinicalWorks, ETM/TES, Experian, or similar healthcare applications.
• Experience with ADT interfaces, charge files, data migration, troubleshooting interfaces, or system reconciliation
• Competent with utilizing cloud content management or file storage and collaboration platforms (Box, OneDrive) for safe transfer of sensitive data across multiple remote desktops (Epic, Pool, standard desktop)
• Maintains a strong working knowledge of professional service and diagnosis coding (CPT and ICD-10s) based on compliance and NCD’s/LCD’s guidelines
• Excellent working knowledge of Electronic Medical record systems
• Exercises exceptional judgment and the utmost confidentiality while supporting high-level strategic initiatives, including matters aligned with or exceeding director-level scope and sensitivity.
• Ability to travel locally, as needed.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree with seven (7) years’ experience in revenue cycle management; knowledge of practice management applications, interfaces, and databases
OR
• High school diploma or general educational development (GED) equivalent with ten (10) years of relevant experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s Degree: minimum four (4) years’ experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Demonstrated proficiency in the utilization of Data Visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Proficiency in using design/editing software.
• Knowledge of project management software such as Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Visio
• A solid understanding of web design standards, usability, and rich media.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms
• Experience working with large, complex, and high-profile stakeholders.
