Software Engineer, Backend / Full Stack

About the Role

Join an engineering team building financial infrastructure for nonprofit payments. You will own backend and full stack systems from design through production, with the opportunity to influence architecture and product decisions in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

• Build and own backend applications and components that power payment systems, from initial design through deployment and ongoing operation.

• Contribute to architecture decisions across APIs, backend services, and infrastructure, helping establish engineering standards and best practices.

• Collaborate with product and engineering colleagues in technical discussions, sharing clear opinions while remaining open to other perspectives.

• Improve real-time monitoring and alerting to better understand system and user behavior and inform product iteration.

• Work across a range of platform projects rather than being limited to a single product area.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of software engineering experience, with experience building backend or full stack systems.

• Proficiency with Go or Node.js and familiarity with technologies such as PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and gRPC.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS is relevant to the role.

• Strong technical judgment, clear communication, and comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced team are important.

• Interest or experience in fintech, payment infrastructure, or nonprofit technology is useful.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
