Senior/Staff Software Engineer

About the Role

Join a cybersecurity engineering team building new tools for organizations in the U.S. defense industrial base. This product-focused role spans experimental product development and foundational infrastructure, with opportunities to take ownership across the full product lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Build full-stack features and infrastructure using the team's existing technologies and modern tools for new products.

• Contribute from planning and design through deployment, optimization, and ongoing product improvement.

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

• Take technical ownership of projects, help guide product decisions, and maintain high-quality engineering standards.

• Mentor other engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.

What We're Looking For

• Three to five years of professional software development experience, with technical depth aligned to senior or staff-level engineering work.

• Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, GraphQL APIs, and Ruby on Rails.

• Hands-on experience shipping production software and working across frontend and backend systems.

• Experience with a modern object-oriented backend language; Rust or Node.js experience is a plus.

• Experience leading projects as a technical lead or mentoring junior engineers.

• Experience at a Series A to Series C startup and a portfolio or GitHub profile showing recent hands-on coding activity.

• Authorization to work in Canada without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $210,000 to $260,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
