Software Engineer

About the Role

Join a small engineering team building AI systems that can autonomously conduct research. You will develop the backend and infrastructure that supports agentic discovery, helping advance the performance and reliability of these systems.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain backend infrastructure for AI research systems.

• Write production-quality Python code to improve system performance and support recursive self-improvement capabilities.

• Partner with researchers and engineers on agentic discovery, search systems, and post-training stacks.

• Contribute to machine learning infrastructure, observability, and performance optimization for customer-integrated AI systems.

• Own engineering problems end to end, from design through deployment, in a fast-moving team.

What We're Looking For

• Two or more years of software engineering experience, with a background in production backend systems.

• Strong Python skills and experience writing maintainable, high-quality production code.

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure or backend systems, and familiarity with agentic systems.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform is relevant to the role.

• A collaborative, adaptable approach and the ability to work across research and engineering.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $200,000 to $250,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
