Member of Technical Staff, Machine Learning

About the Role

This role sits at the core of a small, high-output AI data company that processes multimodal content, including video, audio, images, and interaction traces, to build training and evaluation datasets for frontier AI teams. You will design and ship production machine learning systems that power large-scale data filtering, indexing, and annotation pipelines. The work directly shapes the quality of data used by leading AI research labs and enterprise AI teams.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines covering data preparation, model training, evaluation, and deployment.

• Develop and improve detectors, embeddings, and classifiers for multimodal data at scale (video, audio, image).

• Collaborate with research and engineering teams to understand model needs, failure modes, and data distribution goals.

• Instrument pipelines for quality assurance, including automated scoring and human-in-the-loop review workflows.

• Contribute to infrastructure capable of processing millions of hours of diverse multimodal data efficiently.

What We're Looking For

• 3 or more years of hands-on experience building and delivering production ML systems.

• Demonstrated ability to take ML projects from raw data through model deployment end to end.

• Strong Python proficiency for ML development.

• Experience with multimodal data (video, audio, or image) is a strong plus.

• Background at a top-tier ML research lab, AI company, or large-scale data platform is a good calibration signal.

• Strong CS fundamentals and a rigorous, research-informed approach to problem solving.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $150,000 to $350,000 USD annually, plus equity. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
