About the School
A prestigious and forward-thinking school in Sevenoaks is looking for an experienced IT Technician to join its established technical support team.
The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical assistance to staff and pupils and help ensure that technology across the school operates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Providing first-line IT support to staff and pupils.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Supporting classroom computers and laptops.
Setting up and maintaining IT equipment.
Supporting interactive displays and classroom technology.
Installing and updating software.
Assisting with user accounts and access issues.
Maintaining printers and peripheral equipment.
Logging and monitoring technical support requests.
Preparing equipment for lessons and events.
Maintaining accurate records of IT equipment.
Escalating more complex issues when necessary.
Requirements
Previous experience working as an IT Technician within a school or educational setting is essential.
Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
Experience supporting staff and pupils.
Good understanding of hardware and software.
Strong communication skills.
Patient and professional approach.
Ability to work independently and within a wider IT team.
Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
