The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as the first dedicated engineering recruiter, running the hiring process from candidate outreach through offer acceptance. Collaborate with senior technical leaders on hiring priorities while building a local recruiting presence in the city.
What you'll do
- Proactively find candidates and keep a healthy flow of prospects for several software and data engineering specialties.
- Run the complete recruiting process for technical hires, from first contact to accepted offer.
- Collaborate with senior engineering leaders to set hiring plans and decide priorities.
- Raise the company's profile in the local tech community through networking and events.
- Act as the only recruiter in the office, handling candidate relationships and offers from start to finish.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and keep records current in an applicant tracking system.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years of in-house, full-cycle recruiting experience, mostly for software engineering roles.
- Track record hiring data, backend and full-stack engineers.
- Time spent in a high-growth startup with substantial hiring volume, beyond large established technology employers.
- Strong hands-on sourcing skills and enthusiasm for building a candidate pipeline every day.
- Self-directed working style, with confidence operating as the sole recruiter on site and little need for close supervision.
- A technical degree or educational background.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking tools and managing interview logistics.
- Based in, or ready to move to, the area, and willing to work on-site.

- Curiosity about, or hands-on use of, automation and AI-assisted tools in candidate search.

- Base salary: USD 120,000 to 190,000 per year
