Software Engineer (LATAM)

About the Role

This is a full-stack engineering role at an early-stage AI training data company focused on capturing expert reasoning for frontier foundation models. As one of the first LATAM-based hires, you will carry significant ownership, shaping both the product and the engineering culture from the ground up.

What You'll Do

• Build and scale complex data capturing workflows across web (Next.js) and desktop (Python) environments.

• Architect and optimize high-throughput data pipelines designed to handle heavy, sustained loads.

• Collaborate closely with the founding team to define product strategy and ship features quickly.

• Set engineering best practices and lay foundational architecture to support future team growth.

What We're Looking For

• 3 or more years of professional experience as a backend-leaning full-stack engineer building and scaling data-intensive applications.

• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with hands-on experience in Next.js and React.

• Experience architecting and optimizing high-throughput data pipelines.

• Familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Experience with data streaming and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Hands-on experience with in-memory data stores like Redis and search/analytics tooling such as Elasticsearch.

• Cloud platform experience on AWS or GCP, including serverless architectures.

• Demonstrated skill in performance profiling and optimization of data-intensive systems.

• Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to foundational team practices.

• Background at a well-regarded technology or finance employer (strong CS fundamentals preferred).

• Able to work remotely from LATAM and align with US working hours.

• Eligible to work without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $60,000 to $90,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location

Fully remote, based in Latin America, with alignment to US working hours expected.
