The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Work as a client-facing engineer on a compact team, designing and shipping software that uses large language models. You will take solutions from early discovery conversations through to live deployment, and guide the technical plan for each client engagement.
What you'll do
- Meet with clients to understand their data problems and build tailored software solutions that apply AI.
- Own delivery from initial discovery through production release, working in Python and React.
- Maintain a technical plan for each client, balancing product thinking with engineering execution.
- Use LLMs and AI agents routinely to speed up your own development work.
- Partner with company founders while managing your own priorities with few formal processes.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 1 to 8 years of professional engineering experience, including time at an early-stage startup.
- A history of promotions or expanding responsibility across roles.
- A degree in computer science or computer science combined with math.
- Full-stack delivery experience spanning backend, frontend and AI components.
- Experience managing a client's technical roadmap from start to finish.
- Background in technical product work or forward-deployed engineering.
- Comfort with unclear problem definitions and the ability to turn client requirements into working technical designs.
- Based in New York and able to work on-site five days a week.
