The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take full ownership of a mobile application, from the initial build through continuous iteration. This is a product-focused, full-stack position where design sense and speed of delivery matter as much as technical depth. You will partner with engineering, design and product colleagues as the product changes in response to user feedback.
What you'll do
- Build and own the full mobile codebase from zero to one, starting on iOS and expanding to Android.
- Set up core infrastructure including database design, authentication and payments.
- Turn specs and design mockups into production code quickly, then refine using user feedback and usage data.
- Own the mobile user experience, including interaction feel, haptics and overall polish.
- Guide junior developers and help establish mobile engineering practices as the team grows.
- Keep the app moving independently so delivery does not depend on any single engineer.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 0 to 4 years of experience, with emphasis on the quality of what you have built rather than tenure.
- A track record of launching polished mobile products that real people use regularly.
- Product-leaning full-stack skills, self-sufficient on the backend but strongest in product and front-end work.
- Hands-on experience across mobile frameworks such as React Native, Swift or Kotlin, plus web tooling, backend-as-a-service, auth, payments, database design and API integration.
- Strong design and product intuition, with real care for making experiences delightful.
- Ability to make sound tradeoffs between speed and architecture and to anticipate issues early.
- Clear first-principles thinking and a willingness to push back constructively.
- Ability to own a product end to end without close direction.
- Comfort with a fast-paced, in-person startup environment.
Bonus points
- Interest in music or experience playing an instrument.
- Familiarity with music data formats.
- Experience in game development or learning software.
- Multidisciplinary background or generalist profile.
- Consumer app experience with clear attention to polish.
