Cybersecurity Tools Analyst

• Enable cybersecurity by maintaining operational security posture and ensures information systems security policies, standards and procedures are established and followed
• Ensure that Windows, Linux, and various application logs are being collected, forwarded, parsed, and reviewed with Elasticsearch
• Conduct vulnerability assessments on containers and analyze, research, and prioritize CVEs and their remediation
• Work closely with a team of engineers, including additional system administrators, network engineers, system engineers, and cybersecurity engineers, to provide high quality, innovative engineering services to the Government customer
• Work with system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems/system modifications, developing designs, and implementing and testing solutions
• Assist with the planning and implementation of cybersecurity best practices within automated workflows and processes
• Provide subject matter expertise on cyber requirements, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Security Requirement Guide (SRG), JFHQ DoDIN Cyber Tasking Orders (CTO
• Perform other duties to support RMF, A&A, and JSIG requirements as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training: 

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or science discipline preferred
• Active Security+ certification required
• Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Certified Analyst, or relevant Elastic certifications preferred

Experience:

• 4+ years of general (full-time) work experience required
• 2+ years of directly related experience
• Experience may be reduced with completion of advanced education
• Familiarity with JSIG and SAP requirements required
• Experience with Elasticsearch required
• Experience with endpoint security solutions required
• Experience implementing and configuring STIGs required

Security:

• Must be a US citizen
• Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
• Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
• Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
• Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: $128,000 - 136,000
