Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The position will manage new product introductions, market planning, product life cycle management, and sales programming functions. Through thoroughly understanding the marketplace, this position will develop and implement specific product management plans (annual and long term) to maximize returns for this portfolio. The Product Manager will be accountable for assessing the products and product features needed in the market and the marketing planning for and placement of products launched into the market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages new product introductions, market planning, product life cycle management, and sales programming functions
- Develop and implement specific product management plans (annual and long term) to maximize returns from this portfolio
- Accountable for accessing the products and product features needed in the market
- Marketing planning for and placement of products launched into the market
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong knowledge of tile, bathroom wet space and/or decorative surfaces and HPL
- Ability to perform competitive analysis and marketing research
- Excellent math and finance skills
- Knowledge of marketing methodologies
- Product knowledge
- Computer proficiency including the application of spreadsheets, word processors and databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; at ease with all levels within the company and with customers
- Compelling public speaking skills
- Ability to develop collaborative relations across departments and levels of the organization
- Ability to lead and execute the new product introduction process
- Experience leading cross-functional teams including manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, design, sales, and marketing
- Prior experience leading and executing large, complex product management projects
- Prior experience partnering with internal and external clients
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes, including management-prior successful integration with sales team members

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree Required
Concentration in Business, Marketing, or related field
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years
5-8 years in Product Management or Marketing
Preferably experience in building materials or engineered surfaces
WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stoop, climb or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.
ENVIRONMENT:
Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
