DevOps Engineer - DC AREA

Overview

Our client is a financial institution providing the United States with a safe, flexible, and stable monetary system.  They are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer. In this role you wiill, lead organizational change management activities supporting a Business and Technology Modernization program, developing and executing change strategies that drive the successful adoption of Agile practices, mindsets, and behaviors across the organization.

This role is onsite in Washington, DC. Per our client contract, candidates must be US Citizens able to pass the client’s background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies, including impact assessments, readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement plans, and adoption roadmaps.
• Design and implement communication and training strategies for executives, managers, teams, and support functions.
• Identify and manage resistance by addressing barriers, concerns, and objections through targeted interventions, coaching, and reinforcement.
• Measure and report on change effectiveness using adoption metrics, readiness scores, and stakeholder feedback.
• Partner with Agile Program Managers, Agile Coaches, and other change leaders to support organizational culture transformation from traditional to Agile mindsets.
• Assess change readiness, identify resistance, engage stakeholders, and implement communication and training strategies.
• Build relationships and credibility with stakeholders across all organizational levels.

Qualifications

• At least five (5) years of experience in organizational change management, preferably supporting technology transformations or Agile/digital transformations.
• Change management certification (e.g., Prosci Change Management Practitioner, CCMP, or similar) strongly preferred.
• Understanding of Agile principles, values, and frameworks, including Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban, strongly preferred.
• Experience conducting change impact assessments, stakeholder analyses, and readiness assessments.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to craft compelling messages and materials for diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Government or highly regulated industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration / Management, Information Systems, Sociology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence preferred.
• Federal government experience preferred.
